{Downtime} - My Totally Awesome Weekend in Cornwall

Here's how I spent the weekend after a busy week of coordinating Huddles Bristol.

Left alone during a heat wave while my toddler was "up north" with his Dad, I decided to venture an hour and forty-five minutes away from where I live in Devon to the Cornish seaside town of Newquay.

Here's a photo-log of my spontaneous, overnight trip.

Started the day at a Farm Shop. This image has been viewed 2000x on Google Maps.

Off the coach. Had an altercation with a cheeky seagull... He stuck his beak inside my rucksack, not phased by me at all.

Newquay by night...

Did not fancy crossing this footbridge although, man, it woulda been a great pic. Imagine living in the house on the islet?

I promise this is Cornwall, not Maui...

I stayed in a good, old-fashioned bnb. It was stifling however, so I pinched a fan from behind reception while the night guard was having a smoke break. Shhh, don't tell anyone.

Contraband...

Cornish pasties - proper job! This is what most bakery windows in Cornwall and Devon look like.

One of three or four sandy beaches in Newquay...

Many steps down to this one...

Cream tea! A scone, jam, clotted cream, and a hot drink. In Devon, you put the cream on first then the jam. In Cornwall, it's jam then cream. Don't ask me why. It causes a lot of arguments though.

Just perfect. The view from a cafe/restaurant on the main drag.

Harbourside...

Ready to party... Well, get some yummy Greek food anyway ...

Sunset...

Then it was back to where I started to say 'hello' to these two...

Hope you enjoyed...

Love,

What did you get up to this weekend?
